WHO ARE THEY? Lobos FC were founded in 2008 as Galaxy FC and competed in the Central Wisconsin Amateur Soccer League (CWASL), a recreational soccer league located in Wausau, WI. The squad changed their name to Blue Jays FC in 2010 and then again to Lobos FC in 2013. The club won 5 CWASL titles over their 11 years in the league. Lobos FC joined the Wisconsin Primary Amateur Soccer League (WPASL) prior to the 2020 season, looking for a higher level of competition. The club is run by Luis Mendoza, and his father founded the club 15 years ago. Lobos FC regularly play in indoor tournaments throughout the winter, having won the Eau Claire Tournament and Mayor's Cup in recent years. HOW DID THEY DO LAST YEAR? Lobos FC competed in the Wisconsin Primary Amateur Soccer League during the 2021 season. Lobos FC tied Poskin for third place in the league, with 15 points and a 5-5-0 record. LOOKING FORWARD: Lobos FC have accumulated a 5-0 record this year, including three preseason wins and a currently undefeated record in WPASL play. The league's current leading scorer, Christian Granillo, plays for the club and Lobos defeated last year's champions Bateaux FC 3-1 earlier this year.
